GFM - hot forging machines

<  >

During the transformation process, the work piece is handled by handling devices. The forging tools travel along linear excenter shafts. The drive mechanism is composed of an electric motor and synchronisation gearbox. The materials may be formed in a hot, lukewarm or cold state. Hot forming is mainly used for major form changes and structural improvement. Cold forming is used when the highest level of product quality is required.

In the last 50 years, several hundred SX forging machines have been sold. A new generation of hot forging machines type RF has been on the market since the year 2000 and is already successfully in use in EWK (Germany), Vallourec (France) and BGH (Germany).
